ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF JSC LATVIJAS KUĢNIECĪBA SUBSIDIARIES(w/add)



JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (LASCO) hereby informs that its four 

new 100% subsidiaries – SIA "Transporta bāze", 

SIA "Jūrnieku mācību centrs", SIA "Kuģu menedžments" 

and SIA "Karavella Property" - were registered in the Commercial 

Register on 31 January 2005. All the above-mentioned companies 

were established pursuant to JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Supervisory 

Council resolution No. 39/147 dated 13 October 2004 and will 

perform maintenance of the real estate owned by the Company.

As already reported, JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Strategic 

Plan 2003-2010 provides for the phasedown of LASCO activities 

not related to its core business – marine transportation services.
