JSC “Latvijas Gāze “ informs about the accident of transmission pipeline on 

16.04.2005 



JSC “Latvijas Gāze” informs that on 16.04.2005 approximately 1,7 million cubic 

meters of gas has escaped due to accident on transmission pipeline Tallina – Virsi, 

which has caused approximately 85 000 LVL of loses to JSC “Latvijas Gāze”. 

According to current calculation additional 40 thousand LVL will be required for 

repair works and materials.



JSC “Latvijas Gāze” emphasizes that the rift of transmission gas pipeline has 

not interrupted gas supply to the clients of JSC “Latvijas Gāze” and service 

rendering continues in conformity with determined procedure.
