REGARDING SHARES OF AB SNAIGE AND AB VILNIAUS VINGIS (BNS)



The notice, which appeared on the website of the BNS agency at 09.13 a.m.

on 2 October 2001, states that on 20 September 2001 subsidiary companies

Snavesta and Vinvesta of the company Hermis fondu valdymas (Hermis Fund

Management) applied to the Competition Council asking for a permit to

acquire up to 100 per cent of shares of Snaige and Vilniaus Vingis.

The National Stock Exchange of Lithuania has not received any official

information regarding application of Snavesta and Vinvesta for the

Competition Council, thus, can make no comments.
