PERFORMANCE RESULTS IN QI, 2002



On 19 April 2002, performance results in the firs quarter of the year were

considered at the meeting of the Management Board of AB Vilniaus Vingis. The

company’s sales equal LTL 35.8 million, marking a rise of 1.9% in comparison

with the sales volume in the corresponding period last year. Such a growth

resulted from increased export volume (6.1% rise, or LTL 1.4 million). This

year, deflection yokes were supplied to the SDIG Samsug factory in Germany, new

deflection yokes for flat TV tubes wee supplied to LG Philips in England. This

year, the export level reaches 68.3% (in January – March 2001, this level did

not exceed 65.9%).



During the accountable period, the company earned unuadited profit of LTL 2.78

million, or by 0.4 more than during the corresponding period in 2001. A slower

speed of profit growth was caused by the change of the products and the pegging

of the Litas to the Euro.
