TRADING IN SECURITIES OF MAZEIKIU NAFTA IS SUSPENDED



Following the decision of the Listing Department of 20 August 2002, trading in

securities of Mazeikiu Nafta AB is suspended on 20 August 2002 in order to

protect interests of investors. The Russian company Yukos and the US company

Williams International Company made an announcement concerning the agreement

that the subsidiary of Yukos will acquire a 26.85% stake of Mazeikiu Nafta AB

shares, held by Williams International Company, for USD 85 million.
