About JSC “Latvijas Gaze” non-audited financial report for the 1st quarter 2005



Joint Stock Company "Latvijas Gaze" informs that the profit in the first

quarter of 2005 reached 8.53 mio LVL that is by 9,35 % or 0,729 mio LVL

more than in the first quarter of 2004. In the first quarter of 2005 total

income from natural gas sales and other services of basic operations reached

49,40 mio LVL that is by 4,88 % or 2,23 mio LVL more than in the corresponding

period of 2004. The volume of gas sold was 0,668 billion m3 that is by 1,94 %

more than in the first quarter of 2004. Financial indicators during the first

quarter of 2005 were positively influenced by sales increase, which was

fostered by increase in number of customers. Increase in gas purchase price did

not influence the financial indicators since gas used during the winter period

was taken from gas stored at Incukalns Underground Storage.
