YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE

 

In response to concerns regarding Y2000 Estonian Telecom 

is pleased to announce the following information:

 

· All operating companies of Estonian Telecom Group (including, 

Estonian Telephone Company and Estonian Mobile Telephone Company) 

started their Y2000 Compliance programs in 1997. Working groups 

were established, working under constant supervision of the Management 

Boards. Periodical reviews have been represented to the Councils on 

Y2000 Compliance.

 

· Estonian Mobile Telephone Company achieved full Y2000 compliance of 

all its operating systems by September 1 1999

· Estonian Telephone Company had completed all system tests by 

September 1 1999

· Full Y2000 compliance will be achieved in Estonian Telephone Company by 

October 1 1999.

 

All Y2000 Compliance projects of Estonian Telecom Group have been under 

continuous supervision of the Management of Estonian Telecom Ltd. We believe 

that, in all areas subject to our will, Estonian Telecom can guarantee both 

technical and organisational readiness for the Millennium in both Estonian 

Telephone Company and Estonian Mobile Telephone Company.
