NEW SUPERVISORY BOARD MEMBER

 

On 22.10.1999, Vahur Kraft (president of the Bank of Estonia) appointed 

Valdur Laid (director of the Bank of Estonia) as the new member of the 

Supervisory Board of Hüvitusfond. 

Andres Sutt, the current representative of the Bank of Estonia in the 

Supervisory Board of Hüvitusfond, is working as of 20.09.99 in the 

Nordic Baltic Office of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in 

Washington D.C.

Laid graduated in 1993 from Tallinna Tehnikaülikool (Tallinn Technical 

University) with cum laude, majoring in economics. He has also attended 

courses at the IMF, World Bank, EBRD, US Federal Reserve and other 

international financial institutions.

Valdur Laid is also a member of the Management Board of the Bank of Estonia.

Prior to his appointment to the position of the Bank of Estonia's director, 

Laid worked in the Bank of Estonia as the head of financial markets.
