COMMENTARY TO THE FINANCIAL RESULTS 11/98

 

The 1998 11 months consolidated net sales of Tallinna Külmhoone 

AS were 307.9 million EEK (the 1997 11 months net sales were 81.6 

million EEK).

 

During 11 months of the current year, the total amount of ice-

cream sold was 2916 tons. Compared with the same period last 

year, when the company sold ice-cream in the amount of 2467 tons, 

the volume of sales increased by 18.2% or 449 tons. The amount of 

ice-cream exported during 11 months of the current year was 359 

tons or 12.3% of the total sales volume of ice-cream.

 

The 11 months consolidated gross profit of Tallinna Külmhoone AS 

was 15.8 million EEK, which is 5.8 million EEK more than during 

the same period last year. In November of the current year, the 

company had a loss of 615 thousand EEK, which was mainly due to 

the decrease in the sales of ice-cream and allowance on doubtful 

accounts in the amount of 119 thousand EEK.
