TRANSITION TO PARTIAL WORKING HOURS

 

The Management Board of AS Kalev forecasts ca 30% decrease in 

the production volume in the beginning of 1999. Therefore, 73 

employees have received lay-off announcements at the end of the 

current year, and the rest of the employees will be working 20% 

less hours. The reduced working hours will be implemented as a 

4-day workweek.

The beginning date of the reduced working hours will be decided 

by the Management Board by the second or third week of January 

1999, and the duration of it is forecasted to be one to two 

months, depending on the need.
