DECISIONS OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD’S 10.12.98 MEETING 

 

With the 10.12.98 decision of Leks Kindlustus Supervisory Board, 

Targo Raus (current vice-president of Ühispank and member of the 

Leks Kindlustus AS Supervisory Board) was appointed to the 

position of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Targo Raus is 

a member of the Management Board of Ühispank and manager of the 

investment department. The previous Chairman of the Supervisory 

Board of Leks Kindlustus AS, Guido Sammelselg, resigned on 

27.11.98. Guido Sammelselg will continue as a member of the 

Supervisory Board of Leks Kindlustus.  

 

According to Targo Raus, there are several options for the 

further development of Leks Grupp, and the cooperation with the 

Swedish insurance group Trygg-Hansa (member of the Ühispank’s 

strategic investor’s S-E-Banken group) will definitely make a 

useful contribution. The Chairman of the Management Board of Leks 

Kindlustus, Raul Kastan, said that the membership in the largest 

financial group in the Baltic States means first of all 

additional sale channels, and the possibilities to increase the 

company’s turnover, market share and efficiency.

 

The Supervisory Board of Leks Kindlustuse AS also appointed two 

new members to the Management Board of the company: insurance 

director Arvi Luhakooder and sales director Mart Aare. Arvi 

Luhakooder is employed by Leks Kindlustus since 1994, and he has 

been a member of the Management Board of Leks Kindlustuse AS from 

10.1996 to 03.1998. Mart Aare works in Leks Kindlustus since 

February 1997; before that he was a vice mayor of Narva. The new 

members of the Management Board do not own the shares of Leks 

Kindlustus. 

 

The Management Board of Leks Kindlustuse AS includes the 

following people:

Raul Kastan- Chairman, Aarne Orav, Sergei Vahnitski, Ivo Viires, 

Kaupo Kaareste, Arvi Luhakooder, Mart Aare.
