COMMENTARY TO FINANCIAL RESULTS 12/99

 

The consolidated net sales of Tallinna Külmhoone in 1999 stood at 

EEK 455 mln, compared to EEK 335.1 mln in 1998 (36.5%, or EEK 109.9 

mln annual increase). 

 

Net sales by product lines:

Ice-cream                     25.7%

Frozen foodstuff              46.9%

Refrigerated foodstuff	      26.7%

Other                          0.7%

 

In 1999 the company's total ice-cream sales amounted to 3,683 tons, 

compared to 3,072 tons in 1998 (annual increase 19.9%, or 611 

tons). The company exported 378 tons of ice-cream, which accounts 

for 10.3% of total ice-cream sales. In 1998 the company exported 

380 tons of ice-cream, or 12.4% of total ice-cream sales.

 

Tallinna Külmhoone 1999 consolidated net profit stood at EEK 17.97 

mln (EEK 9.34 mln in 1998; annual increase 92.2% or EEK 8.6 mln).

 

The company's balance sheet size increased by EEK 7.3 mln y-o-y, 

amounting to EEK 187.6 mln at end-1999. The owners' equity 

increased in 1999 by EEK 17.97 mln, amounting to EEK 77.8 mln at 

end-1999. Return on owners' equity ratio stood at 23.1% in 1999, 

compared to 15.6% at the end of 1998.
