INTEREST RATES FOR X-SERIES BONDS, REDEMPTION OF BONDS



Hüvitusfond will redeem the issue of X-series bonds on 10.12.2000. On 

the date of redemption the bondholders will receive interest payments 

in addition to the redemption payment.



Hüvitusfond issued 595 thousand X-series bonds, at par value of EEK 

100. Hüvitusfond will make redemption payments to the holders of X-

series bonds in total amount of EEK 59.5 million. 

Redemption payments will be made to investors holding the respective 

bonds as of 10.12.2000 at 8:00 a.m., according to the data of the 

securities register of the Estonian Central Depository for 

Securities.



Base interest paid to the holders of Hüvitusfond X-series bonds is 

7.246%, or EEK 7.246 per bond. Interest rate paid to the holders of 

Hüvitusfond X-series bonds is based on 3-months Talibor (Tallinn 

Inter-bank Offered Rate), plus 1.5% fixed interest rate. Hüvitusfond 

fixes Talibor four times per year, at the end of each quarter. The 

Fund will pay 6.63% interest for Q4 1999 (21 accounting days), 6.83% 

for Q1 2000, 7.27% for Q2 2000, and 7.55% for Q3 2000. The Q3 2000 

interest rate of 7.55%, approved by the Supervisory Board, will also 

be applied on 69 accounting days in Q4 2000. 

Interest payments will be made to investors holding the respective 

bonds as of the end-day of 08.12.2000, according to the data of the 

securities register of the Estonian Central Depository for 

Securities. Interest payments are made to investors holding the X-

series bonds once per year, on December 10, or the first banking day 

following that date. Hüvitusfond will make interest payments to the 

holders of X-series bonds in total amount of EEK 4.3 million.



Interest payments from Hüvitusfond bonds to private persons are 

exempt from income tax. According to the decisions made by 

Hüvitusfond Supervisory Board, no additional interest will be paid 

for the last accounting year. Hüvitusfond will make interest and 

redemption payments to approximately 965 bondholders in total amount 

of EEK 63.8 million.
