CHANGES IN TOP MANAGEMENT

From April 1, 2001 Hansabank’s member of the board and managing
director of Hansabank Markets, Gerd Müller, will move to a company
managing the new private equity fund set to be launched this year in
co-operation between Hansabank Group and its international partners.
Erkki Raasuke, Hansabank Group’s current chief financial officer will
assume his position as the managing director of Hansabank Markets. The
Council also confirmed the nomination of Erkki Raasuke as the vice-
chairman of the board.

Gerd Müller (29) presented to the regular council meeting held on
February 22 his request to resign as a member of the board of
Hansabank and the head of Hansabank Markets as of April 1, 2001, which
was accepted by the council.
Gerd Müller started his career in Hansabank Group in 1992 as a manager
of the bank’s currency exchange unit. He has also worked as the head
of the branch network and retail bank. Prior to his assignment as the
head of Hansabank Markets, Gerd Müller was the director of Hansabank’s
corporate banking division.

The new head of Hansabank Markets, Erkki Raasuke (29) started his
career in the same business unit as head of interest rate products
department during 1994-1998. Starting from 1998 Erkki Raasuke has been
a member of the board of Hansabank and the group’s chief financial
officer.
Negotiations for finding a new CFO for Hansabank Group have already
been started and Hansabank will reveal the identity of the new CFO in
the beginning of April.
