ESTONIAN BEER MARKET IN AUGUST



According to the information at the disposal of the Estonian beer  

industry  in  August, the Saku Brewery  increased  its sales 

compared  to previous months, increasing  its  market share  

by  5,7 a market point, totalling 52%. Tartu  Brewery have 

decreased compared with July, i.e. 32%. The Viru, Pärnu and 

Saaremaa Brewery have encreased a little bit to level of 

4,5%,  4% and 0,5%. The Viru Nigula Brewery remained 

at  the same  level, i.e. 2%. 

In July, imports accounted for  5%  of the total beer market

in Estonia. Saku  Brewery  have  encreased also its 

accumulated  market share  

(total accumulated January to August 2002),  accounts 

for 47% of the whole market.
