AS EMT WAS DECLARED SMP



On  18’th November, the Communications Board declared  AS

EMT  as  an operator with significant market power  (SMP)

for 2003 in the public mobile telephone service market.



The  Communications Board reasoned the declaring  as  SMP

stating that the market share of EMT in the national area

exceeded  the  level for declaring as  SMP  specified  in

Competition terms assessment procedure - at least 25%  of

the  turnover  of  the public mobile  telephone  services

market.



AS  EMT  was  also declared for 2002 as an operator  with

significant  market power in the public mobile  telephone

service  market. In its forecasts, AS EMT  also  reckoned

with  the Communications Board declaring the business  as

an operator with significant market power for 2003.
