Comments to the Äripäev article "Baltika’s troubles with

Monton" 08.04.2003.



The Management of AS Baltika considers necessary to

comment the article as follows:



1.The references to the Ühispank analytics words are

inaccurate. Please look at Äripäev Online article

"Objection to Inno Tähismaa article "Monton in Crises".

2. The Management of AS Baltika has not revealed any

doubts about obtaining the strategical targets for 2002 -

2004; we have promised to review our prognoses from

previous year and comment them at the latest at Annual

Shareholders Meeting in May this year.

3. The launch of new retail brand Monton is planned

within borders of strategy for 2002 - 2004, that means it

is planned for three seasons. The development of Monton

so far has been as expected.
