JSC  "Latvijas  Gāze"  has received a notification from the shareholder

"Ruhrgas  Energie  Beteiligungs-  AG",  dated as on June 28, 2004, with

information  about  approved  resolution  of the Annual General Meeting

held  on  June 9, 2004 to change the name of the Company due to joining

the E.ON Group.

Therefore,  effective  with  July  1,  2004,  the  name of the "Ruhrgas

Energie  Beteiligungs-  AG"  is  "E.ON  Ruhrgas International AG" . The

other Company requisites are unchanged.
