Hereby JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (LASCO) informs that today, 24 May 2004,

it takes delivery of a one-year old product tanker Kuldīga .

The above-mentioned vessel is the second of three MR product tankers to

be  purchased  by  LASCO  pursuant  to the Memoranda of Agreement (MOA)

signed with each of Pink Star Shipping Ltd. , Purple Star Shipping Ltd.

and Coral Star Shipping Ltd. on 18 February 2004 .

As  reported  earlier, the three 37-deadweight-ton tankers are built to

ice  class  and designed to carry light oil products. All three vessels

were built in 2003.

The  first  tanker  Kolka  was  delivered  to LASCO on 20 May 2004. The

delivery  of  the  third sister-vessel Kaltene is planned to take place

within the next few days.

At present LASCO Group's fleet consists of 32 product tankers, 5 reefer

vessels, 1 Ro-Ro/general cargo vessel and 2 LPG carriers.
