JSC "Olaines kimiski-farmaceitiska rupnica" informs, in accordance with

the  preliminary  calculations  the  export  of  the  Latvian  medicine

producer  JSC  "Olainfarm"  in  year 2003 constituted 5,7 millions LVL.

This  is  about  30%  or  1,7 million LVL more than in year 2002. It is

necessary to mention that the company successfully enforces the program

of  strengthening  of  its  market position also on the home market. In

Latvia there were sold the products in total amount of 1,6 million LVL,

which  is  19% or 0,3 million LVL more then in year 2002 and 53% or 0,8

million LVL more then in year 2001.

As  it  was  reported  before,  the  total turnover of the goods of JSC

"Olainfarm"  in  2003  constituted 7,37 millions LVL, which is 39% more

then  in 2002. The finished drug forms constituted 6,6 millions LVL and

substances - 0,7 millions LVL. In year 2004 JSC "Olainfarm" is planning

to  introduce  GMP  standards  on  the  plant,  preparing  it  for  the

obligatory  certification  before  joining  European  Union and to sell

products for 8,3 million LVL.
