Already  for  a  couple  of  years  JSC "Olainfarm" has been working on

implementation  of  Good  Manufacturing  Practice  (GMP)  - in order to

obtain  the  mandatory certification prior to EU accession. As reported

earlier, the work on documentation and training of specialists has been

practically  finalised.  Right  the  final  stage of preparations is in

progress   -  upgrading  of  premises  and  replacement  of  production

equipment.  This will require investment of EUR 6.8 million - a part as

reinvestment  and  a  part  as "Unibanka" long-term loan. On December 3

"Olainfarm" signed an agreement with Italian company IMA about delivery

of  equipment  for  the  new tablet production unit. Simultaneously, an

agreement was signed with Bosh about purchase of some other equipment -

to be financed from the company own funds. In a very near future, it is

planned  to  finalise  the  reconstruction  of warehouses that has been

started earlier this year.
