JSC  "Kalceks"  intends to build an injection manufacturing unit at the

premises of JSC "Grindeks", located at  71a Krustpils Street, Riga. The

construction  is  expected  to be completed iin 2006. The new injection

manufacturing unit will promote the co-operation between pharmaceutical

producers  "Grindeks"and  "Kalceks",  and the emerging of collaboration

forms that would be mutually beneficial.



As  reported  earlier,  JSC  "Grindeks"  has embarked upon setting up a

pharmaceutical   holding  which  would  unite,  apart  from  "Grindeks"

daughter  company  Tallinn  Pharmaceutical Plant, other drug producers.

Negotiations  about  potential  participation  in the holding have been

started also with "Kalceks".



Also,  the  possibilities  to  expand  in  the Russian market have been

considered: currently 24.3% of Grindeks sales are in Russia.
