Today  Riga Stock Exchange successfully ran a primary placement auction

of  "Hipoteku  un  zemes  banka"  AH series mortgage bonds with 10-year

maturity.  Total  auction  turnover was 1 003 143 LVL and average yield

7.7%  per  annum. Traditionally, investors' interest was high, over 2.3

mln LVL, exceeding supply over 2.5 times.

10  000 AH series mortgage bonds with total nominal value 1 000 000 LVL

were   offered.  The  price  was  determined  at  an  open  competitive

multi-price  auction.  AH  series  mortgage bonds sold today during the

auction will be listed on the RSE Official list on November 5, 2001.
