Based  on  mutual agreement from January 1, 2000 Mr. Tõnis Sildmäe will

step down as the CIO and member of the board of Hansapank.

The  board  is  planning  to make a proposal to the next annual general

meeting  of  shareholders  to  elect  Mr  Sildmäe  as the member of the

Supervisory Board of Hansabank.
