PRX: Riga Stock Exchange starts listing of SC “Parex banka” notes 



On March 17, 2005, the Riga Stock Exchange (RSE) has started listing of SC 

Parex banka’s securities on the Bonds list. This is the first time in the 

Parex banka’s history that its securities are in public circulation. Until 

now the securities of the Bank that were available to investors (Bank’s shares 

with and without voting rights) were sold only through the private placements 

and are not in public circulation.



Listing of the Parex banka’s notes on the stock exchange marks a new stage in 

the Bank’s development. In the future it will be easier for the Bank to raise 

funds on the capital markets, as Parex banka’ s name will become more familiar 

to many investors, in particular to the professional ones, and it will be 

associated as a reliable corporate bonds issuer.



On March 1, 2005, Parex banka has successfully completed the public offering 

of its notes. All the securities offered were sold out in the course of the 

offering. The total volume of the issue was fixed at the level of 5 million LVL, 

whereas investors have expressed an interest for 8 million LVL. The notes were 

offered at an auction, and were sold out at the nominal value.



Parex banka’s notes have the maturity term of 3 years and the annual coupon of

4.25%. The total volume of the issue at nominal value constitutes 5,000,000 LVL, 

and the nominal value of each note is 100 LVL. The coupon is payable on the 

semiannual basis, and the principal is payable in one installment on March 4, 

2008. Anyone interested can invest in the Parex banka’s notes through the 

mediation of the stock exchange or Parex banka’ s securities brokers.
