AB VILNIAUS VINGIS INCREASES SALES VOLUMES



In November 2001, sales of AB Vilniaus Vingis amounted to LTL 14.04 million,

which is by 6.8% higher than the company’s record sales volumes in October. In

November, the sales of products for direct export was by LTL 0.3 million

larger, while sales volumes to Lithuanian consumers increased by LTL 0.6

million, which all led to such a rise.

Starting from August, sales volumes have been improving by on average LTL 1.0

million per month. It is worth to note that sales in November account for as

much as 50% of all sales volumes in 1994 (the year the company Vilniaus Vingis

was established).

During the period from January to November, the company’s sales amounted to LTL

126.0 million, which is by 15% more than during the corresponding period last

year or by 4.5% more than during the entire year 2000. Such a tendency will

enable to achieve the goals established in the company’s business plan, i.e. in

2001, to achieve sales volumes of not less than LTL 134.0 million and earn pre-

tax profit of LTL 9.2 million.

On 30 November 2001, the company’s Management Board approved the goal regarding

sales volumes in 2002. Having considered conditions under market globalisation,

it is planned to achieve sales volumes of not less than LTL 146 million in 2002.
