CHANGES IN LASCO BOARD AND COUNCIL REGISTERED IN THE REGISTER OF ENTERPRISES



JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (Latvian Shipping Company – LASCO) hereby informs 

that on 22 June 2005 changes in the Company’s Board of Directors and Supervisory 

Council were registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.



As already reported, the following persons were elected members of JSC Latvijas 

kuģniecība Supervisory Council by the Extraordinary GM of shareholders convened 

on 11 February 2005: Uldis Pumpurs – Chairman of the Council, Olga Pētersone –Deputy

Chairman of the Council, Andris Linužs – Deputy Chairman of the Council, Aldis 

Āķis, Laimonis Junkers, Vladimirs Krastiņš, Pēteris Putniņš, Vladimirs Solomatins, 

Ansis Sormulis and Mamerts Vaivads. On 14 February 2005 the Council elected Solvita 

Deglava, Viktors Gavriļenko, Ilva Purēna and Guntis Tīrmanis members of JSC Latvijas 

kuģniecība Board of Directors. 



The registration of the above-mentioned changes in the Register of Enterprises was 

impossible due to the prohibition imposed by Riga Central District Court. As already 

reported, the prohibition to register the decisions passed by LASCO Extraordinary 

GM of shareholders of 11 February 2005 and the Council elected thereby, as well as 

any resolutions passed by the company’s Board of Directors, in the Register of 

Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia was cancelled by Riga Regional Court on 

20 June 2005.



“The entry made in the Enterprise of Registers has finally eliminated the ambiguity 

with respect to the authorities of the Company’s lawful Council and Board”, told 

Imants Vikmanis, Chairman of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Board of Directors.
