THE TERM OF OFFICE OF CHAIRMAN OF LASCO BOARD OF DIRECTORS  EXTENDED



JSC Latvijas kuģniecība (Latvian Shipping Company – LASCO) 

hereby informs that starting from today, 26 July 2005, the 

term of office of the Chairman of LASCO Board of Directors 

Imants Vikmanis  has been extended for three years. 

The resolution to re-elect Mr. Imants Vikmanis Member and 

Chairman of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Board of Directors has 

been unanimously adopted by the Company’s Supervisory Council. 

The respective entry has been already made in the Commercial 

Register of the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.



The public notary of the Register of Enterprises of the Republic 

of Latvia recognized the compliance of the application and 

supporting documents submitted by Latvijas kuģniecība with 

the Commercial and other applicable law, and pursuant to the 

Law on the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia 

resolved to make an entry in the Commercial Register. The 

resolution takes effect on 26 July 2005.



Imants Vikmanis has been successfully holding office of the 

Chairman of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība Board of Directors since 

26 July 2002, when he was elected Member of the Board of 

Directors and Chairman of the Board of Directors by the 

Extraordinary GM of shareholders and the Board of Directors, 

respectively. The term of his office as Member and Chairman 

of the Board of Directors expires on 25 July 2005.



Besides, since 12 July 2005 Director of LASCO Financial 

Reporting and Planning Department Mr. Agris Boža has taken 

office of LASCO Finance Director. The employment relationships 

with ex Finance Director Mr. Aivars Enkuzens were terminated 

on 11 July 2005.
