JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra signed agreement with Merks Ltd.



On Friday, September 2, JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra signed a 

building contract with Merks Ltd. on the construction work of 

the new glass fibre plant. The contract price amounts to 

LVL 3.7 million plus VAT. The construction work is to be finished 

by the end of April, 2006.

Merks Ltd. is a daughter company of the Estonian firm Merko Ehitus. 

It won a recent competition announced by JSC Valmieras stikla 

šķiedra on the building of its new glass fibre plant.

The construction work will begin after the decision of the 

Cabinet of Ministers concerning the award of the status of an 

investment project to be supported by government.
