EKR: Significant growth of sales of EKRANAS AB production

05.12.2005, Ekranas, VLN
EKRANAS AB Stock Exchange Release 05/12/2005

Significant growth of sales of EKRANAS AB production

In September – November, the sales of EKRANAS AB have increased by almost 65%,
in comparison to the summer months. Over the period from June to August
the company has sold 751 602 pcs. of tubes, whereas from September to November,
when the electronics market recovered – demand and the prices for electronics
products increased, EKRANAS AB has realized 1 239 674 pcs. of tubes.

In the meantime, the demand for 20” and 21” tubes produced by EKRANAS AB exceeds
the supply. Although the strengthened stability of production, reduced employee
turnover and improved supply of raw materials allow for increased volumes of
production, the ordered quantities of tubes currently exceed the capacities of
all three presently operating tubes assembly lines.

With regard to the increasing tendencies of tubes demand and prices,
the management of the company is considering possibilities to start the fourth
assembly line installed in the second assembly-shop as soon as possible,
where 20” and 21” tubes would be produced.

EKRANAS AB proceeds with construction of 21” Slim-type tube. Slim-type tubes
are shorter and effectively integrate into the contemporary design; therefore they
can successfully compete with the LCD TVs. All technical specifications of the
shortened type CPT are directed towards fulfillment of ever increasing consumer
needs and quality requirements. EKRANAS AB plans to start mass production of 21”
Slim-type tubes in 2006.
