Assessment took place in two rounds. At first, the auditors assessed the compliance of financial reports with the requirements of generally accepted accounting principles. In the second round, journalists, analysts, teachers and other experts assessed, as a whole, how informative and reader friendly the annual report were.
The annual report of the Tallinn Stock Exchange and ESCD won the competition last year and came in second the previous year.
The Estonian Accounting Standards Board is an independent committee acting at the Ministry of Finance, comprised of accounting specialists, researchers and practicians in this field.
