Lithuanian Government bond auctions on NASDAQ OMX Vilnius

Vilnius, January 26, 2009 — The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announces that primary auctions of Lithuanian Government bonds will be held on NASDAQ OMX Vilnius starting February 2, 2009. Currently, auctions take place at the Bank of Lithuania.

The government bond auctions will be held on the NASDAQ OMX trading platform currently in use for trading in equities, fixed income products, as well as execution of stock auctions. Organizing the government bond auctions includes administration of technical procedures (accumulation of orders, analysis of these, and control of how the orders meet the auction terms) as well as the information distribution service. All information on primary government bond auctions and their results will be published on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius website and distributed via GlobeNewswire with a reach of more than 1,000,000 market professional’s desktops, 500,000 private investors and international vendors such as Reuters, Bloomberg, etc. Clearing and settlement of the trades executed at auctions will be handled by the Central Securities Depository of Lithuania. The schedules of Lithuanian Government bond auctions will be announced 5 days before the auction date.

The primary bond auctions will be accessible to those members of NASDAQ OMX Vilnius which satisfy the requirements for auction participants set by the Ministry of Finance and sign the agreement with the Ministry. No additional infrastructure or technical preparation is required.

The first Lithuanian Government bond auction is planned to be held on February 2, 2009.
