Lithuanian Prime Minister rang The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell

Vilnius, February 3, - today Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius currently visiting the United States of America opened the NASDAQ stock market at 16:30 Lithuanian time during the special NASDAQ stock market Opening Bell ceremony. The daily Market Open and Close is organized and broadcasted from the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square (New York).

During the ceremony Robert H. McCooey, Jr, Senior Vice President of New Listings and Capital Markets at the NASDAQ OMX Group emphasized that NASDAQ OMX holds a strategic interest in developing the capital markets in the Baltic region and has already an established presence in Lithuania through the ownership of NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange and participation in the Lithuanian Central Securities Depository.
