OMX adjusts its organization

30.11.2005 VLN

Press Release, November 30, 2005

In order to reinforce OMX’s strategy to create growth by commercializing and leveraging its expertise in the exchange industry, OMX will implement a new organization from January 1, 2006. The purpose is to adjust and simplify the organizational structure.

In the new organization, the two current divisions OMX Exchanges and OMX Technology will be replaced by three business areas: Nordic Marketplaces, Information Services & New Markets and Market Technology.

Nordic Marketplaces, headed by Jukka Ruuska, will focus on realizing the vision of an integrated Nordic securities market and will include the OMX exchange operations in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. In order to further develop service excellence, a new pan-Nordic function, Company Services, will be established.

Information Services & New Markets, headed by Hans-Ole Jochumsen, will target business opportunities in high potential growth areas. The business area will initially include Information Services and OMX’s Baltic Markets in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Market Technology, headed by Markus Gerdien, will be fully based on the recently realigned OMX Technology organization and will continue to focus on delivering world-leading marketplace systems and services.
