Riga Stock Exchange member trading activity in 1H 2006

“Hansabanka” with 42.13% of total trading turnover has been the most active trading member of the Riga Stock Exchange in 1H 2006; “Suprema Securities” with 21% is runner-up, followed by “Latvijas Krājbanka” with 9.71%.

Top 3 trading members in equity market are exactly the same: “Hansabanka” has generated 43.34% of equity trading volume, “Suprema Securities” 22.07%, and “Latvijas Krājbanka” 9.17%. “SEB Latvijas Unibanka” is the trading leader in bond market (49,48%), leaving “Latvijas Hipotēku un zemes banka” (39.57%) and “Balti Trust Bank” (8.93%) behind.

“Hansabank” group (consolidated) has been the trading activity leader in the Baltic market, building 41.04% of total turnover; “SEB” group share is 20.62%. The same members have been the most active ones in the Baltic equity market as well: “SEB” group and “Hansabank” group have contributed 46.37% and 16.17% of bond market turnover respectively. “Hansabank” (consolidated) and “Suprema” group (52.42% and 25.26% respectively) have been the most active trading members in the Baltic equity market.
