Tallinn Stock Exchange press release
7.10.2005

For the sixth year, the Estonian Accounting Standards Board held a contest to find the Estonian “blue chips” in financial reporting. The categories included listed companies, non-listed companies and public sector entities.

The 2004 financial report of Tallinn Stock Exchange won the first place in the category of non-public companies (second place in last year). The winners in other categories were Hansabank, Eesti Energia (listed companies) and Estonian Health Insurance Fund (public sector).

“Our customers expect us to follow the highest standards on the market. This award shows that we are on the right way,” said Kaidi Oone, Chairman of the Management Board of the Tallinn Stock Exchange.

The financial reports were evaluated considering two main aspects – accordance with the accounting rules, and scope, clarity and transparency of information provided in the report. International practices show that informative financial reports have important role in forming the image of a company.

Tallinn Stock Exchange would hereby like to thank our accountants who has set with this reward very high standards for the coming years.
