Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp Rang the Nasdaq Opening Bell

New York/Tallinn/Riga/Vilnius – On August 17, the representatives of Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp rang the Nasdaq Stock Market opening bell at Times Square in New York.

Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp won the “Top Performer Over 10 Years” award (displaying greatest increase in share price and Baltic Market Awards ranking) at the Baltic Market Awards in the beginning of 2016. The award was accompanied by an invitation to visit the Nasdaq MarketSite and participate in the bell ringing ceremony.

The company was represented by its Chief Financial Officer, Marit Vooremäe and Chief Legal Officer, Helen Tulve. 

Operators that form Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp mostly pursue their business in the sphere of retail and wholesale trade. The Group companies contribute more than one tenth of retail trade in Estonia in general and employ more than 3,500 people. The history of Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp dates back to 1960. The shares of the company have been listed on Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange since 1996. 

Tallinna Kaubamaja has been awarded with the title of the most competitive retail company in Estonia three times over the last ten years.

Olainfarm, who won the „Top Performer Over 10 Years“ award among Latvian listed companies, rang the Nasdaq Stock Market closing bell in the beginning of August. Apranga, the winner of the same award among Lithuanian companies, is set to visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in the beginning of September.
