Vilnius Stock Exchange to list Lietuvos Energija AB corporate bond issue

Such a decision was made at the VSE Management Board meeting on October 10, 2005.

“Corporate bond list constantly increases at the stock exchange. This year, we have listed 7 corporate bond issues of 4 companies. We hope that more companies will use this instrument to finance their business and will issue public corporate bond issues,” said Dalia Jasulaityte, Chairman of the VSE Management Board.

A 367-day corporate registered bond issue of Lietuvos energija AB at EUR 100 face value with a fixed 2.6% annual interest rate coupon is admitted to the Debt Securities List of the VSE. The total nominal value of the issue amounts to EUR 7,500,000. The corporate bond issue was registered with the Lithuanian Securities Commission on September 8, 2005 (securities’ registration act No 4R-3). The bonds will be redeemed on September 29, 2006.
 
The core activity of the company is manufacture and distribution of electricity. The authorized capital of the company stands at LTL 698,515,435 (EUR 202,304,053). As of June 30, 2004 shareholder equity equaled LTL 2,161,699.2 thousand (EUR 626,071.36 thousand). In 2004 and 2003, the company’s net profit resulted in LTL 111,297.4 thousand (EUR 32,234 thousand) and LTL 82,653.1 thousand (EUR 23,938 thousand) accordingly.

As of June 30, 2005, the company had 5,074 shareholders. The largest shareholder (holding more than 5% of all company votes) is the State, represented by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania (96.62%).
