“Žemaitijos pienas”, AB, is one of the largest and most modern dairy processing and dairy product manufacturing companies in Lithuania, with a history dating back to 1924.
The company currently employs more than 1,300 professional and creative employees, whose dedication, enthusiasm and experience are the company’s main driving force, helping it to achieve ambitious goals. Quality and impeccable work have become a strong hallmark of “Žemaitijos pienas”, AB, testifying to reliability and solidity. In 2024, the company upgraded the Bactocatch membrane milk purification technology, which ensures a stable technological process of milk processing and, at the same time, the quality of final products.
The experience accumulated over many years and unique recipes enable the company to offer consumers a wide assortment of products distinguished by excellent taste and high quality. Today, the company produces more than 200 products already appreciated by consumers – from the organic product line “DOBILAS” to the unique, legendary hard cheese “DŽIUGAS”. The product assortment is continuously improved taking into account consumer needs. Products under the “MAGIJA” brand have earned consumers’ trust and remarkable popularity since their introduction – today the “MAGIJA” assortment consists of a classic line of curd snacks coated with milk chocolate, as well as an innovative line of curd snacks enriched with proteins (collagen), “PROTEIN M”. In developing new products, the company pays special attention to meeting consumer expectations and to product functionality, which is oriented towards different consumer groups. The company’s specialists continuously cooperate with scientific institutions and participate in exhibitions and seminars. Therefore, the application of technological innovations enables the continuous improvement of the product “basket”, the integration of advanced technologies and adaptation to changing market conditions. Kosher and Halal product manufacturing is also an important area of activity for us, reflecting our commitment to quality, diversity and meeting the needs of different consumers.
The safety and quality of the products manufactured by the company are guaranteed by the implemented integrated food safety and quality system, which is assessed every year during BRCGS, IFS and FSSC 22000 audits carried out by auditors of accredited international certification agencies.
