Background Information
K2 LT is a Lithuanian capital-based funeral sector company that was established in 2008 to implement an investment project - to build the first crematorium in Lithuania. The crematorium was opened at the end of November 2011 and is located in the free economic zone in Kėdainiai.
In 2015, UAB "K2 LT" was restructured into a joint stock company (AB "K2 LT"). It became the first Lithuanian company whose shares were admitted to the First North market.
The company operates "Lietuvos krematoriumas" (Lithuania Crematorium), which is the largest and most popular crematorium in Lithuania. K2 LT was awarded the gold medal in the category "Product of the Year" by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists both in 2012 and 2022 in the services group category.
In 2013, K2 LT was acknowledged with the "National Responsible Business Award" (NAVA) as "Environmental Enterprise of the Year" for strategic economic and environmental alternative solutions in funeral services, offering an alternative burial method. In 2014, the company received a NAVA certificate for active participation in Kėdainiai region tourism development and partnership with the local community.
The company is an unassociated member of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
In 2018, K2 LT established a subsidiary company UAB "Rekviem LT" and began providing comprehensive funeral-related services throughout Lithuania through a partner network. Since 2021, these services have also been provided in modern format farewell houses "Rekviem" owned by AB "K2 LT" - currently the most popular funeral homes in Kaunas.
