CHANGES IN THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF AS RIGAS MIESNIEKS

 

The 20.01.99 meeting of the Management Board of AS Rigas 

Miesnieks decided to satisfy the resignation application of the 

chairman of the Management Board Andris Nikitins. A. Nikitins 

resigns voluntarily.

 

The Supervisory Board of Rigas Miesnieks appointed Valdis 

Gailitis(32, previously technical director and vice-chairman of 

the Management Board of Rigas Miesnieks) to be a new chairman 

of the Management Board the company’s managing. V. Gailitis has 

graduated from the Technical University of Riga (MBA) and 

previously worked as director of AS Fibosa Baltic and vice-

director of AS Giva. 

 

In addition, Jouni Sarre (41) was elected as a member of the 

Management Board. J. Sarre has a higher education degree in 

meat technology and works in Rigas Miesnieks as production 

manager. J. Sarre has previously worked on different 

production-related work positions in HK Ruokatalo factories in 

Finland.

 

The proxies of A. Nikitins as managing director of Rigas 

Miesnieks will end on January 20, 1999. 

 

AS Rigas Miesnieks is the largest subsidiary of Rakvere 

Lihakombinaat, where RLK owns 87% shareholding.
