THE MERGER OF FOREKSPANK AND ESTIB WAS REGISTERED IN THE 

BUSINESS REGISTER

 

The Registration Department of Tallinn City Court satisfied the 

application of AS Eesti Forekspank, which applied for the 

registration of the merger of Eesti Forekspank and Eesti 

Investeerimispank in the Business Register, and made the 

respective entry on Friday, 18.12.98.

 

Concurrently with the registration of the merger, also the 

change in the statutes of AS Eesti Forekspank was registered 

based on the decision of the 15.11.98 extraordinary general 

meeting of AS Eesti Forekspank shareholders. According to the 

new statutes, the trade name of a new bank is AS Optiva Pank.

 

Optiva Pank presents to the public the new trademark respective 

to the new trade name in the beginning of 1999. The transition 

to the new trade name will take place stage-by-stage in 3 to 4 

months, and the bank will use the trademarks of Forekspank and 

EstIB parallel with the trademark of Optiva Pank during the 

transition period.
