EMT JOINS MGINE TECHNOLOGIES



Estonian Mobile Telephone (EMT) has today made a 

strategic investment in Mgine Technologies, a 

Finnish-Estonian software company that focuses on 

personalization and mobile positioning software products. 

EMT will own 5% of Mgine Technologies. The rest is owned 

by DONE (Digital Open Network Environment Corporation), 

which is listed on the NM list of the Helsinki Exchanges.



EMT will provide Mgine Technologies access to its 

product development resources, provide testing facilities, 

as well as access to real life customer development 

environment.



This is a strategic investment where EMT can get access 

to Mgine Technologies’ unique software and development 

opportunities in personalization and positioning strategy.



EMT has installed and tested in its networks one of 

Mgine Technologies’ main products, Location Mgine, 

which is a positioning platform software. One of the  

first commercial mobile positioning application for 

mobile operators in the world developed by 

Mgine Technologies can be accessed through website

Internet, WAP and tested in GPRS environment. Other joint 

products with EMT include application for Estonian rescue 

service that has been equipped with mobile positioning 

technology to increase public safety. 



Mgine Technologies will develop its products in Finland 

and Estonia, the world’s most advanced mobile markets. 

Mgine Technologies has 50 employees. In addition to 

personalization and positioning software company provides 

applications, consulting and systems integration services 

that support end-to-end implementation of personalization 

and positioning software.
