ACQUISITION OF NEWSPAPER "KESKUS"



On 25.oktoobril 2000 AS Linnaportaal (51% owned by Suomen Infopiste 

OY and 49% by AS XXL.EE) bought the activities and trademark of 

newspaper "KesKus" ("Center") from AS Dotcom Invest. Established in 

1995, the newspaper "KesKus" is a leading Estonian free-of-charge 

distributed newspaper. The newspaper's circulation averages at 

50,000, and it has about 200,000 readers.

AS Linnaportaal manages Tallinn's central internet portal 

AKTIVIST.EE. Through acquisition of newspaper the company realized a 

part of its international multiplex media strategy, whereby the 

company publishes information on internet portal, WAP-portal and 

print media. Similar strategy is used in all 15 countries in the 

Baltic region, where Suomen Infopiste OY operates the Aktivist 

portals.
