EBRD'S CREDIT LINE TO OPTIVA PANK



EBRD will open a SME sector directed credit line for Optiva Pank. The 

parties will sign the respective agreement on 20.12.2000 at Optiva Pank.



European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) EUR 10 million 

credit line is aimed for promotion of Estonian small and medium scale 

enterprises. This is the first SME sector directed credit line granted 

to an Estonian bank in the framework of EBRD and the European Commission’s 

SME Finance Facility financing project. 



In the framework of the Phare program financing is also provided to a 

12-months technical assistance program, which is aimed to ensure effective 

implementation of a special loan program for small and medium size companies.
