CORRECTIONS TO TALSE INDEX

 

Following a thorough analysis of the TALSE index calculation 

methodology in year 2000, Tallinn Stock Exchange (TSE) recognised a 

need to improve the procedures for reflection of certain 

non-standard corporate events in the TALSE index.

 

With regard to the above, TSE considers it necessary to publish the 

TALSE index values that have been corrected under the improved 

methodology as of 21.12.2000.

According to the corrected data the annual change of TALSE index in 

year 2000 was 10.15% (previously 12.54%).

 

The respective corrections have been made in the TSE databases. As 

of 10.01.2001 TALSE index is calculated in accordance with the 

improved methodology.
