LTB'S EXTRAORDINARY SHAREHOLDERS MEETING
The extraordinary shareholders meeting of Lietuvos Taupomasis Bankas
held today, July 24, decided to increase the share capital of the bank
by LTL 150 million through issuing 15 million new shares with a
nominal value of LTL 10 each. The share issue will be directed to
LTB’s largest shareholder, Hansabank. With this Hansabank has already
within two months fulfilled its obligation to re-capitalise the bank
during 18 months from the date of closing. After the capital increase
the new share capital of the bank will be LTL 317.3 million.
The shareholders also decided to increase the number of board members
to seven, from current five. The two new board members will be
Giedrius Dusevicius, head of Hanza Lizingas and Antanas Danys, head of
electronic banking in LTB.
Also, Deloitte & Touche was appointed as the auditor of the bank for
the financial year of 2001.
