COMMENTARY TO LTB'S 9-MONTH RESULTS



Lietuvos Taupomasis Bankas recorded a loss of LTL 122.9 million during

the first 9 months of 2001. These results also include the pre-

privatisation provisions in the amount of LTL 153.2 million. These

provisions are not consolidated into Hansabank Group’s financial

statements, but are recorded in the goodwill created during the

purchase of LTB. The Group will amortise the goodwill over 5 years.

Hansabank Group will publish the 9-month results on October 23.
