EESTI TELEFON TO INTRODUCE VOICE COMMUNICATION PACKAGES



From next year AS Eesti Telefon, subsidiary of AS Eesti Telekom 

will introduce voice communication packages following the example 

of mobile operators. 



The customers of Eesti Telefon may choose between Home, Business 

and Plus packages. The packages offer a flexible pricing considering 

the usage patterns of customers - those customers making more phone 

calls, will be offered cheaper minute prices for a higher monthly 

fee and vice versa. 



Launching Home package allows Eesti Telefon to compensate for the loss 

on private customer monthly fee. The estimated cost-based monthly fee 

as audited by the audit company Deloitte & Touche is considerably 

higher than presently charged. Therefore, Eesti Telefon has decided 

that from 1 January 2002 Home package monthly fee for fixed telephones 

in the analogue exchange will be 84 Estonian kroons and for fixed 

telephones in the digital exchange, 98 Estonian kroons. 



As of 1 November this year Eesti Telefon has approximately 510,000 main 

lines, nearly 407,000 of which are used by private customers. 



Until now a monthly fee for fixed analogue exchange telephones has been 

50 Estonian kroons and for digital exchange telephones 75 Estonian kroons.
