NEW COUNCIL MEMBER



The Annual General Meeting held today, April 3, elected a new member

to the council of Hansapank: Mr Robert Charpentier.



Robert Charpentier is Deputy Head of Swedbank Markets.

His job description for the past 5 years is the following:



2000 -         Swedbank Group, Executive Vice President, Deputy Head

               of Swedbank Markets

1997 - 2000    Swedbank Markets, Senior Vice President, Head of

               corporate banking



Robert Charpentier does not own Hansapank’s shares.
